Steering Group updates:
Would residents who have photographs, preferably digital, of Brookenby let the Chairman of the Steering Group have copies for insertion into the final Parish Plan. e-mail to webmaster@brookenby.org.uk as attachments, please...about 1Mb should be about right. Credit will be given to the photographer.
Brookenby Parish Plan:
The really hard work begins...
Members of the Steering Group have now started to go through all the responses to produce the final Parish Action Plan document, hopefully by the beginning of 2009.
Once the Parish Plan is complete Steering Group has plans to publicize the Plan and to hand implementation responsibilities to the Parish Council at a village function, paid out of Steering group funds, and at minimal cost to the village.
The Parish Plan will take all the concerns and ideas from your responses and produce a document for the Parish Committee to use at its 'road map', to use a modern cliché, and thus be able to focus its direction on those matters which you, the residents, have identified. And you will be able to monitor this 'road map' and hold the Parish Council to account for its actions...or inactions. The final Plan will be a properly funded and printed version that will be distributed to all households, the Ward Councillor, West Lindsey District Council and Lincolnshire County Council as well as other interested parties.
As it is also hoped to provide a CD of Brookenby to accompany this document, please would you trawl through your photographs of Brookenby - we can accept either proper photographs or digital jpeg photographs - and pass to any member of the Steering Group, or the webmaster. We would also like to have any reminiscences of life in Brookenby in the early days when the village was in the process of growing. (Do not worry about spelling or grammar, we can sort that out ourselves...) Again webmaster@brookenby.org.uk is the contact address.
