Council Tax:

West Lindsey District Council has announced a lowly 0.48% rise in this year's Council Tax.  But remember, on top of that has to be added the Police precept and the County addition. This could mean a County Council Tax rise of up to 3.5%

A shortfall of funds from previous years, owing to an outstanding debt owed by the BCCMC to the Parish Council, the precept this year has had to be set at a 23% increase over last year's.

Swimming Pool:

West Lindsey District Council has agreed to allocate a sum of money for the construction of a swimming pool in Market Rasen.  The plan is that it will be a 25 yard pool with 4 lanes and should be open around autumn 2011.  The site may also be further developed as plans and money become available.

Planning application:

The owner of Kingsmear Caravans  has submitted a Planning Application to West Lindsey District Council Planning Department for what is known as a 'Lawful Development Certificate' for the field between the Caravan Site and the parish boundary.  The Parish Council has submitted its response.

This application ahs been refused.  However, the applicants have a period of time in which to appeal.
